Student Spotlight: 2023 Student Symposium

JSU will be hosting its annual Student Symposium on February 13 and 14, when students will have the opportunity to present their academic work in a supportive environment and have the chance to win awards and prizes for their entries.
Undergraduate and graduate students are encouraged to showcase their work, which can include research, scholarship, creative work, or group work in the form of a poster, paper, demonstration, performance, etc. The presentation can include robotics, computer games, sculpture, short films, original poetry, and more.
Faculty and staff judge the symposium, picking winners for the categories of Best Paper, Best Poster/Demonstration, Best Cover Design, Best of Showcase, and Best of College. The winner of the Best of Showcase category will receive $400, and winners of the rest of the categories will receive $200.
Students have until Saturday, January 28, to register their submission, which can be done by going to jsu.edu/student-symposium.html.
Questions may be directed to Dr. David Thornton at thornton@jsu.edu.
