This event aims to give JSU faculty the opportunity to connect with faculty across disciplines as they share innovative ideas through research and scholarly works and celebrate scholarly and creative achievements. With over two hundred faculty attendees and ninety judges, this Faculty Research Symposium observed sixty-five total presentations, including forty-five judged presentations.

“The Faculty Research Symposium was a large undertaking, and I am very proud of how it turned out,” said Faculty Commons Director Mica Mecham. “We had excellent faculty support and participation, and the feedback Faculty Commons received after the event has been very encouraging and positive. The faculty who were part of the planning committee worked diligently to organize this event, and their efforts paid off. We are now working on ways to grow this event to make it even more successful in the years to come.
