Why did you decide to attend JSU?
I mainly decided to attend JSU because my mother is an alumna from JSU; also I really liked that it was close to home and it gave me a very welcoming feeling when I visited.
What are some of your hobbies?
My hobbies include baking and cooking, I really enjoy making cookies and cakes and trying out new recipes for dinner. I wouldn’t call this a hobby, but I also enjoy spending time with my 9-month-old son and watching him grow everyday.
What is your favorite color?
Purple. I have always loved it.
Why did you choose your major/minor?
I chose this major because I had always been fascinated with art, but I always have enjoyed computer technology. I think graphic design is a perfect fit for my interests.
What are your post-grad plans?
I hope to work in a design firm maybe close by, but would really enjoy working and living in Chattanooga.
What has been the most impactful experience you’ve had as a college student?
The most impactful experience has really been the kindness of my teachers. They have always encouraged me and helped me move along even in weird circumstances.
What do you love about JSU?
The feeling of family. Never have I once felt like I did not belong here at JSU. Between teachers and students alike, I feel we all share this understanding that we are here for not just ourselves but for each other.
What graphic design piece are you the most proud of?
The piece I am most proud of is my French’s Mustard Ad Campaign. It was both included in last year’s Flux competition and won a golden ADDY!
What has been your favorite course so far?
I have really enjoyed all of my Graphic Design courses so far, so it’s hard to choose. I love my Type in Motion class that I am currently taking. I’ve always been fascinated with animation and the kinetic aspect of design.
