The JSU Art Department’s BFA, BA, and MFA senior shows will be up April 18—May 3 with an opening reception April 18 from 5pm- 7pm. The shows will be divided between Hammond Hall Main Gallery, the Roundhouse Gallery, and the Student Gallery.
This year, there will be 13 BFA graduates, 3 BA graduates, and one MFA graduate exhibiting work. The following students will be exhibiting work: BFA Candidates: Kelsey Blangin; Rebekah Britton; Kara Lyn Clay; Alec Cornutt; Walter Christian Everhart; Travis Freeman; Chandler Hannon; Shelby Holman; Meghan Lee; Jason Toby Satterfield; Harley Stickney; Austin Whitt; Kaylee Woodall. BA Candidates: Sydney Sorrells; Madelynn Barker; Paige Christ. MFA candidate: Stephanie Cobb.
This show is the final, semester-long project of the graduating art department seniors. They have each created a body of work that is the culmination of all the skills they have learned in their foundations and concentration-specific classes throughout their college experience.
The students chose the theme, designed the poster and postcards for the event, and are responsible for advertising the show. This work gives them curatorial experience as well as experience in showing a full body of work for exhibition.
Come see what these artists have been working on!
